How did you start in coffee/tea?
I started in the quality control department for a coffee importer. I was roasting and preparing samples for 6 coffee traders and also sending roasted samples to our customers. I had the opportunity to expand my knowledge and move into the inbound traffic dept to eventually becoming the traffic manager to then becoming a coffee trader.
Favorite thing about the industry?
Talking and building relationships with producers throughout the world. Bringing their stories and coffees to roasters and consumers is something that is a true compassion of mine. I can say I’m always learning over the years I have found everyday is a new day in coffee. Maybe this is why I am in this business for over 40 years.
