How did you start in coffee/tea?
This is my first position in the coffee industry! I was working in e-commerce for a hardware importer prior to joining Royal New York. I’ve always enjoyed coffee and visiting cafés when I would travel to new places, and it just so happened that I found a job in the industry.

Favorite thing about the industry?
My favorite thing about the industry is learning so much about what drives the price of the market. I didn’t know about the breadth of the coffee market before starting at RNY, so it’s interesting to learn all the factors that make up the price of the market.

If you had control of RNY radio for the day (…without risk of any criticism/comments) what would you choose?
If I had control of the radio for the day, I would have to play Pink Floyd. Since I named my son after the band, it’s the obvious choice!
