This lot comes from Finca El Tesoro, a coffee farm located in Buenos Aires, Hüixoc, within the municipality of La Democracia in Huehuetenango. Managed by Juan Adalberto Villatoro Cruz, the farm is 1,600masl and spans approximately 200 cuerdas (~22 hectares). Nearly 90% of the property is dedicated to coffee cultivation, taking advantage of the region's ideal growing conditions for specialty coffee production.

With more than 25 years of coffee production, Finca El Tesoro produces approximately 200 quintals of coffee annually and cultivates Caturra, Bourbon, Pache Rojo, and other Arabica varieties. The harvest takes place from January through April. After picking, the coffee undergoes traditional washed processing, including 18–24 hours of fermentation followed by 3–6 days of drying, depending on weather conditions.

The farm continues to build upon a long-standing coffee-growing legacy in Huehuetenango. Looking ahead, Juan is focused on expanding coffee cultivation to cover 100% of Finca El Tesoro, while also improving the quality of the harvested coffee through technology.
