Less than 100 miles north of Nairobi, on the southern slopes of Mount Kenya, are a group of 300 small specialty coffee farms. These small holder farmers, approximately half of which are women, came together to produce this lot. They selectively handpicked their cherries and delivered it to the ENA Wet Mill.

The ENA Wet Mill is one of two wet mills under the New Runyenjes Farmers’ Cooperative. Once the cherries were delivered to the wet mill, they were sorted, pulped and washed using clean river water before being sundried for 14 – 21 days on raised beds.
