Luz Merino is a small specialty coffee producer from the province of Zamora Chinchipe in the southeast corner of Ecuador, next to the Peru border. Her 5 acre coffee farm, Luz Merino Estate Farm, is located 1543 meters above sea level.

Although Luz has a family history in coffee production, she manages her farm on her own. She has a team of 3 permanent staff members and employs up to 10 additional workers during harvest.

Luz started working with local exporter CafeExporto in 2021 so that she could have extra income from the traditional crops she used to work with. She has nearly 3,000 plants and achieves high quality coffee because of the great care she has given to her land over the years.
