ABOUT
Los Papillos is a specialty coffee farm located 1500 meters above sea level in Naranjo, Costa Rica. This farm has been in the Cabezas Mora family for over 40 years. Miriam Mora and her husband Miguel Angel Cabezas are the current owners of the farm, along with their children, Noilin, Luis Miguel and Jonathan. The farm's name comes from Miguel Angel's nickname, Papillo. It’s a nickname that identifies the family from many years ago and today, Miguel's sons are getting the nickname too.
Miguel Angel Cabezas and his son Miguel Jr. manage the farm maintenance. Every day they work in the coffee fields, taking care of each plant and using products that do not harm the environment. While there are many reasons why their coffee stands out, they credit the most important being the love and passion they put into their work producing coffee every day of the year.
The Cabezas family delivered the cherries for this lot to the Copronaranjo mill where it was then processed.
