Burundi Kayave Washing Station (GP)

This washed lot comes to us from Kayave Coffee Washing Station in Burundi's Butanyerera Province. Located between 1,800 to 2,000masl, Kayava is one of the newest additions to Burundi's specialty coffee landscape, working with approximately 1,620 farmers. The station takes its name from the nearby Kayave River, a right tributary of the Kanyaru River, which forms part of the border between Burundi and Rwanda. Kayave CWS is located near an area of historical importance, where ancient kings of Burundi and their close families were laid to rest. This deep cultural heritage adds another layer of meaning to the coffee’s story — connecting every cup to the traditions of the land and its people.
