The Gedeb Washing Station, situated in the Gedeo Zone of Yirgacheffe, produces some of the most exceptional coffees in the region, thanks to its remarkably high altitudes and ideal growing conditions. Smallholder farmers from the surrounding highlands deliver ripe cherries to the station, where they are carefully processed to preserve the distinct clarity and sweetness characteristic of Gedeb coffees. Though remote, Gedeb stands out as one of Ethiopia’s most industrious and quality-driven coffee-producing areas, with nearly half its land devoted to coffee cultivation.

Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee. It is one of the largest producers of Arabica and the flavors range from rich and earthy to vibrant and complex.
