This lot comes from the Gura Wetmill in Othaya, Nyeri County, Kenya, part of the Othaya Farmers’ Co-operative Society and supported by over 460 smallholder farmers. Nestled along the fast-flowing Gura River on the slopes of the Aberdare Ranges at 1,800–1,960 meters, the wetmill produces coffee primarily from SL28, with smaller amounts of Ruiru 11 and Batian. Farmers handpick only ripe cherries, which are fully washed using river water, fermented up to 24 hours, and then slowly sun-dried on raised beds.
