Instructor

Instructor: Andrew Blyth

Andrew Blyth is a Senior Trader at Royal NY. Andrew got his start distributing (hustling?) roasted beans from a local roastery in NYC, back when the darker the roast the better it was. Eventually, he moved on up the supply stream to Royal NY, where he dove right into the deep end, as a coffee trader. Since then he has had the opportunity to interact and support with the whole spectrum of coffee, from Robusta to 90+ microlots, coordinating contracts and purchases for a wide range of roasters, from 1 kilo at a time, Nordic style café roasteries, to 240 kilos at a time dark roasted and flavored roasteries. He has been working in coffee for over a decade now and leads up not only our trading desk, but the Tea and Education Departments at Royal NY. As an instructor, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge to the classroom with a jovial spirit and approachable teaching style.
