In 2015, Royal New York founded The Lab to provide an education and training space for the specialty coffee and tea industry. With a wide variety of course offerings and weekly updates to The RNY Blog, we hold ourselves to a high standard of keeping coffee and tea professionals up-to-date with the latest in the industry. To better cater to the specialty coffee and tea industry, The Lab became a certified SCA Premier Campus in 2016 and still holds that certification in 2025.

From introductory courses for new baristas and cuppers to advanced classes in roasting and blending, The Lab by Royal New York provides an accessible education experience for all skills levels! Our 2025 calendar currently has an assortment of classes scheduled for this summer.
