As we all know, market volatility is unpredictable. With so many uncertainties in the industry, you need to have enough coffee secured to keep your roastery stocked. How to do this? Coffee reserves! Our new website allows you to directly submit a reserve request for a specific coffee to your trader. Why should I reserve coffee?
There are a few reasons that would prompt a reserve request. One of the most common reasons is dwindling inventory of a coffee you frequently use. If a coffee is running low and won’t be in stock until the next crop cycle, you should submit a request.
Another reason to reserve coffee is to capture the current market price. With the ebbs and flows of the market, everybody is trying to buy low to maintain their margins. Since the market can change frequently, capturing a lower market and reserving coffee where you feel comfortable is a major advantage and helps with keeping a steady margin.

How do I submit a coffee reserve request?
After you find a coffee you want, you can use the new “Request Coffee Reserve” button. You can find this on the coffee offerings page or on your My Account page.
Fill out what coffee you’d like to request, which reference #, how many bags, and for how long. Add in anything you’d like your trader to know, and hit the “Request Reserve” button!
Once submitted, you will receive an email confirming that we’ve received your request. Please keep in mind that this is only a request—your reserves are not yet confirmed. Your trader will reach out to discuss the information you provided and take it from there.
Where do I find my reserves?
If you have officially contracted reserves, you can view them from the “My Reserves” section of your My Account page as well as at the top of the coffee offerings page. You can see your contract dates, reserve quantity, and fixed price.
