Beyond the Brew: Organic Earl Grey Tea Recipes

Earl Grey tea has been around since the early 1800s. Undoubtedly, it’s here to stay! This black tea is flavored with bergamot oil to produce a robust and malty blend with a bright citrus flavor. As it’s one of our most popular teas at RNY, we offer it both loose and in sachets. Our Organic Earl Grey tea is finally back in stock, so Caitlin Normann has shared some of our favorite recipes!

Blue Lavender Cold Foam

Brewing Blue Lavender Simple Syrup

Enhance your London Fog Latte with this lavender cold foam for spring! You’ll start by making a Blue Lavender Simple Syrup. Use it for the following cold foam, a mocktail enhancer, and more!

1 tbsp Lavender
1 tbsp Sugar
6-8 Butterfly Pea Flowers, optional. This will add some color to your cold foam!
2oz Water, boiling
2½ tbsp Heavy Whipping Cream

1. Add lavender, sugar, and (if using) butterfly pea flowers to boiling water for 3-5 minutes.
2. Strain out flowers and set simple syrup aside to cool. Note: If your simple syrup is not cooled down, your cold foam will separate.
3. After your simple syrup has cooled, combine with heavy whipping cream in a bowl or tall glass.
4. Whisk ingredients with a handheld milk frother until foam is thick and fluffy.
5. Pour over London Fog Latte (or your spring latte of choice!) and serve.
