Airflow is an essential element to coffee roasting. Here’s why👇

💨Airflow moves convective heat from the drum to the coffee
💨It also exhausts smoke and chaff from the drum
💨More airflow = faster energy transfer and more clarity
💨Less airflow = slower roasts, rounder flavors
💨Adjusting airflow can help control rate of rise and development
💨Airflow interacts with drum speed, gas settings, and batch size
