Mario de la Cruz owns his 3 hectare farm, Los Corrales, located 2935 meters above sea level in Tongosoy, Nariño, Colombia. Mario has been growing coffee for over 15 years. For him, growing and producing coffee is a cultural heritage that has been passed down by his ancestors. He also grows corn, beans, bananas and sugar cane on his farm for the house's consumption. He decided to carry on the coffee producing tradition with his family's farm even though he was tempted to move to the city of Pasto, where he spends part of his time.
