At Royal New York, much of what we do is centered around caffeine. However, we know that oftentimes our customers are looking for something a little more relaxing! To help you ease into the cooler weather, Caitlin Normann has highlighted some of our favorite teas without caffeine.

Understanding Caffeine in Tea

Firstly, all tea blends with the camellia sinensis plant will contain caffeine. These include black, green, white, oolong, puer, yellow, and purple teas. However, tisanes or herbal tea blends without the tea plant are almost always caffeine-free. Of course, there is an exception to every rule! Yerba Mate and Yaupon (more commonly known as holly plants), as well as cocoa, are a few examples of tea-related ingredients that naturally contain caffeine.

As for our recommendations, we’ve selected a few of our current favorites that are guaranteed to keep you jitter-free! Since none of these options contain camellia sinensis, they’re great for customers that want a drink full of flavor that won’t keep them up too late.
